General Information & Policies

Deposit/Security Deposit/Cancellation Policy:

  • For weekly bookings, a deposit of $350 is required at time of booking to hold your cottage.  For bookings that are less than 7 nights in duration, a deposit of 50% is due upon booking.  Balance of payment is due on your day of arrival.  We accept Visa, Debit, Mastercard, American Express and personal cheques.  If booking takes place within 45 days of arrival, full payment is due at time of booking.

  • If cancellation is made 45 days or more prior to your arrival date, your deposit will be refunded in full, less an administration fee of $50. 

  • If cancellation is made less than 45 days prior to your arrival date, you are responsible for the full cost of your rental unless we are successful in re-renting your cottage, in which case your deposit will be refunded in full, less an administration fee of $100.

  • We take a $200 security deposit upon check-in, refundable within three weeks of departure if there are no additional charges due. 

     

Check-In/Check-Out Policy:

  • Check-In time is 3pm in order to allow us adequate time to prepare your cottage for you

  • Check-Out time is 11am (sorry, no exceptions as we have to prepare the cottage for the next guest). Failure to check-out by 11am will result in an additional day’s stay being charged to the credit card on file.

 

Other Important Details/Policies:

  • All of our cottages are SMOKE-FREE.  If anyone is found to be smoking in their cottage, there will be a $150 cleaning fee applied to the credit card on file.

  • All cottages have basic appliances (microwave, fridge, stove, coffee machine), cutlery, utensils and cookware.

  • We do not supply bed linens, bath/beach towels, tea towels, dish cloths.  Please ensure that you bring these items with you.

  • Water:  Our water is not drinkable.  Please bring drinking water with you.

  • Cleaning:  We do not provide a cleaning service therefore you are responsible for maintaining your cottage for the duration of your stay and we require that you leave the cottage as clean as you found it upon check-out so that it is ready for our next guest.  If your cottage has not been thoroughly cleaned according to the checklist provided, a charge of $60 will be applied to your credit card.

Pets

  • We love animals and welcome all well-behaved cats and dogs.  We ask that you pick up after your pets, and be mindful of other cottagers/children by keeping your pets leashed when appropriate. 

Boats

  • Docking is available for boats/seadoos at a cost of $5 per night.  Docking must be reserved at time of booking.
